Darlene

Title: Dental Administrator

Hi, my name is Darlene. I was born and raised in Cranbrook BC. I have lived in Calgary since 1989. I graduated in 1995 from KDM Dental College as a Registered Dental Assistant. I worked many years as a dental assistant before advancing to a Dental Administrator. I have worked with Dr. Chotowetz since March 2002. What I appreciate most about working with Dr. Chotowetz is he is a perfectionist and takes great care of his patients. Some of the things that make working at Summit Dental most enjoyable are, meeting all the patients, helping them and working in a great office with great people. I love what I do, and where I work. Outside of work I am married and have a daughter and a son. I spend my time working out, reading, hanging out with my family and driving my kids to their activities

Jackie

Born and raised in Wilkie, Saskatchewan, on the family farm. Jackie joined the Summit Dental Team in 2007 and has enjoyed the opportunity to meet new and current patients. Married, with 2 boys that are active basketball players which has made Jackie a fan of the game. During the winter months she has been an active curler for 25 years.

Lexie

Hi! My name is Lexie. I was born and raised in Calgary. I have been part of the Summit Dental team since the spring of 2011 and I am part of the administration team. Summit Dental is committed to giving every person involved the most respect and enjoyable time while they are here. The atmosphere in the office is caring and kind. I learn new things every day that help me to interact with patients, which is the best part about my job. Outside of the office I enjoy spending time with my family and friends camping, dinner parties, and shopping, and going to the movies.

Megan

Hi! I'm Megan. I was born and raised in the heart of the Okanagan in Penticton, B.C where I graduated high school in 2009 and took 2 years of post-secondary education in Victoria, B.C. I then decided to make the long and very cold move to Calgary in January '11 and made a new start at Summit Dental in September '11. As the youngest (and most spoiled) member of my family that decision wasn't easy, but I knew it was right when I was adopted as "one of the family" here on day one. Being new to this industry as well as being the newest member to the team, there are always challenges to my job, but their outcomes are always of a greater reward. The thing I enjoy most about coming to work every day is the collaborative desire of the entire office to ensure that our patients always leave each visit completely satisfied and smiling. Our Doctors are our reliable role models for this goal, leaving none of their work less than perfect. Outside of work, I enjoy taking care of my two fuzzy, lop-eared bunnies, making music, and practicing Yoga. Starting here at Summit Dental as Dr. Hubbard's Administrative Assistant has been the perfect introduction to Dentistry and has helped me create a new passion for it, and I hope to start my career as a Registered Dental Assistant in the near future.

Roxanne

Hi, my name is Roxanne. I was born here in Calgary and raised in the surrounding area. I am married and have two wonderful girls. I have been a registered dental assistant since 2000 and have been employed by Summit Dental for my entire dental career. I graduated from Columbia College here in Calgary. What I enjoy most about the dental field is the relationships that I establish with the patients and the ability to educate them to make them feel more comfortable. I enjoy working with Dr. Chotowetz and Dr Hubbard as they both take pride in their work and care about their patients' needs. Outside of work I enjoy being active with the kids, spending time with family and friends, and working out.

Gigi

Hi! My name is Gisela, but everyone calls me "Gigi". I was born and raised in Manizales, Colombia, and got my degree there as a Dentist in 1999. I left my country in 2001, and have lived in Canada since 2004. I am currently one of the RDA Level II here at Summit Dental, and started working for Dr. Chotowetz in September 2007. It is very rewarding to be part of this team. Everyday, I have the opportunity to learn from the Doctors and keep myself up to date in diagnosis, treatments and materials. I am a people person and enjoy interacting with patients. My favourite aspect about working for Dr. Chotowetz is the highest degree of quality and care of our patients. I have been happily married since 2001, and I like to spend my free time watching movies, eating out, working out, and defeating my husband in tennis.

Ange

Hi ! My name is Ange. Was born in Milk River, Alberta and moved to Calgary when I was 3. I have worked in the dental field since 2007. I started as a Dental Lab Technician and now enjoy working as a Sterilization Assistant. Both my mom and my sister work in dentistry in Calgary as well. I have been at Summit Dental since the summer of 2008, first part time then joining the team full time. I enjoy my job and the opportunity to learn all the new things happening in dentistry. I love working with the staff and doctors at Summit Dental.

Carla

I am thrilled to be working at Summit Dental as Dr. Hubbard’s Registered Dental Assistant. Being a native of Saskatchewan, like Dr. Hubbard, I believe we have the same sense of patient care and quality of dentistry. The whole feel of the office to me is relaxed and caring. After working in dentistry since 1997 I finally feel like I have found my perfect fit here at Summit Dental. I enjoy all out patients, especially the kids. I really enjoy working with Dr. Hubbard, first and foremost he is a fabulous person and as a dentist his attention to detail, exceptional professionalism and his report with patients make him wonderful to work along side.

Andrea

Hi my name is Andrea and I am enjoy working at Summit Dental as a member of Dr Chotowetz’s team. I have been a dental assistant since 2006 and graduated from KDM Dental College. I was born and raised in Edmonton, moved here in 1997 and consider Calgary as my home. Being an RDA can be challenging but is very rewarding as well, I am dedicated in providing the best quality care for all patients and I especially enjoy working with children. At Summit Dental, our team is some of the most professional, hard working group of people I know and working with them has helped me improve in all aspects of my job, as I am constantly learning something new. Away from work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.

Ashley

I was born and raised in the small community of Cranbrook B.C. I received my Registered Dental Assisting Certificate in 2008 from the College of the Rockies. After College I decided to make Calgary my home and really enjoy the Big City life with the Small Town feel. I enjoy being a dental assistant because I find it very interesting, challenging and I learn something new everyday. I have also come to feel very at home not only in Calgary, but also at Summit Dental as Dr. Hubbard's RDA. The staff are very friendly and always helpful, which has allowed me to expand my skills in all aspects of my job. The quality of patient care that comes from our team makes me proud to come to work every day. Being from the Rockies I like to get out and hike, camp and snowboard as often as possible with my family and friends.

Jayne

I have been a Registered Dental Assistant since 2009 and started working at Summit Dental at the end of 2010. I have enjoyed my time here getting to know the wonderful staff and meeting the patients. One thing I appreciate about working at Summit Dental is the general desire of everyone to continue learning and progressing. Dr. Chotowetz and Dr. Hubbard are dedicated to providing the best dental care for their patients and they inspire their employees to do the same. Outside of work I enjoy playing competitive soccer, reading, and spending time with my family and friends. I was raised in Camrose, Alberta where I graduated High School before moving to Edmonton to continue my education in Dental Assisting at KDM College. I moved to Calgary in the summer of 2009 and have loved living here.

Valerie

Title: Dental Hygienist

I have worked in the field of dentistry since 1986. I graduated from the excellent Dental Hygiene program at the U of A. I have enjoyed working with Dr. Chotowetz and Dr. Hubbard since 2004.

My favourite thing about the practice of dentistry is my I love of working with people; getting to know them and helping them improve their oral health. I enjoy sharing what I know about health and wellness. My favourite thing about working with Dr. Chotowetz and Dr. Hubbard is that both doctors are very caring and conscientious about their work. They go the extra distance to help people. They are very focused on providing the best service to each and every one. They also encourage all the staff to go over and above to provide excellent care for our patients.

I love cleaning teeth (sounds weird but I do). I love the challenge each and every day to provide excellent care because every person has different concerns. I enjoy educating people on how to improve their health through better home care and dental visits. I enjoy going to Continuing Education courses to learn more about periodontal disease and the new and latest methods of treatment.

I was born in Northern Alberta and have lived in Okotoks and area for over 20 years. My non-work activities include running (I did the Melissa's Run in Banff), I love being a "Hockey Mom" to my son and love the Flames Hockey. I am a loving and dedicate mom to my children. I enjoy red wine and relaxing at my cabin in the summer.

Donna

I joined Summit Dental in July 2009 and every day I enjoy working with such a dedicated team providing such great care. I enjoy working with patients, getting to know them and helping them to achieve a clean, healthy mouth. I graduated from the University Of Alberta in 1994, and got married the same year. My husband and I were both born and raised in Calgary and we have two wonderful daughters. When I am not at work, you can find me doing Mom things as well as scrapbooking, boating in the summers and travelling.

Sommer

Hello, my name is Sommer and I have worked at Summit Dental since 2009. I grew up in Thunder Bay Ontario and wanted to work in a dental office since I was 10 years old. I started my career in the dental field in 2003 as a Registered Dental Assistant and as my passion for oral health grew, I pursued Dental Hygiene. I attended Confederation College in Thunder Bay, Ontario and graduated in 2008. I love teeth and the ever-growing changes of dentistry in creating healthy beautiful smiles. While not at work, I enjoy spending time with friends and family as well as traveling. As one of the newest members to Summit, I am proud to be a part of a wonderful team who are all dedicated to providing the best client care possible.

Karla

I joined Summit Dental in 2006, took a break to have a beautiful baby boy and rejoined the team in 2010. It has been a nice return to see lots of familiar patients and co-workers. I grew up in Claresholm Alberta and moved to the Calgary area in 2006. I have practised Dental Hygiene for nearly 18 years and graduated second in my class from the University of Alberta in 1993. I have a passion for dental hygiene and love it today as much as I did when I first started my career. I love people and I enjoy being an integral part of their overall health. I feel honoured to have people entrust in us the great quality of care we deliver to them. I believe integrity and trust are a very big part of dentistry as well as being dedicated and thorough with each individual we encounter. It is a pleasure working with such a professional and efficient team and it is a true delight meeting and working with new and existing patients helping to make them happy and healthy! I love being a mom and playing with my adorable daughter and sweet son and spending my days off with my handsome hubby!

I have worked in the field of dentistry since 1997 as a Registered Dental Assistant. I have worked with Dr. Hubbard since April 2005. I originally worked chairside with him and now I currently work as Dr. Hubbard’s Primary Dental Administrator. I am extremely happy working with the Summit Dental team. Everyone is extremely hard working and dedicated to providing the highest standard of care. I was born in Nelson, BC and grew up in Leduc, Alberta. I am married and have 2 beautiful children. I am an avid reader and love yoga, volleyball and playing with the kids.

Chelsa

Hi! My name is Chelsa and I was born and raised in the small town of Redvers, SK. I graduated from the dental hygiene program at North Dakota Sate College of Science in 2008 and have had a great passion for my job ever since. I recently moved from Saskatoon to Calgary and joined the Summit Dental team. It has been wonderful to be a part of a team that is truly committed to giving all of their patients the best possible care. As hygienists we are challenged each day with many different patients so the learning never stops. I love meeting new patients and educating them on oral health care so that together we can achieve great results in overall health. I am always active playing softball, volleyball and golf. I love to travel, read and spend as much time with friends and family as I can.

Diana

Hi, my name is Diana! I was born and raised in Moncton, NB and graduated with a Diploma in Dental Hygiene from Dalhousie University in Halifax, NS in 2004. I have practiced dental hygiene from east to west and am now settled here in the south of Calgary with my husband and two young children. I have been employed at Summit since October 2011 and love every minute I am there! I am truly passionate for the field of dentistry and take pride in the care that I give each patient. Dr. Hubbard and Dr. Chotowetz are a great team and I am thrilled to have the pleasure of learning from them and the rest of the team! I can’t think of a better place to spend precious time away from my kids doing what I love. Besides being a mommy, I enjoy singing, camping, playing ultimate frisbee and floor hockey.
