At Summit Dental, we believe that clarity and good communication are the keys to a good and respectful relationship. To ensure your next dental appointment is as pleasant and predictable as possible, we would like to give you an overview of our office procedures. Please feel free to call us at (403) 201-0588 with any questions you may have.
Due to the Canadian Privacy Act and the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (see our privacy policy) it is difficult for us to find out information regarding your dental benefits as we are considered a third party. It is the patient’s responsibility to know the parameters of their coverage, such as annual maximums, frequencies, renewal dates, and any other limitations. We allow the option of direct billing (also called assignment of benefits) as long as the policy holder’s Benefit Provider will allow us and as long as we have an active credit card number on file to cover any unpaid balances. Also, there are a few policies which will not permit the benefits to be assigned to the dental office and will only forward payment to the patient; we require payment at the time of treatment in these instances.
As a courtesy, we contact our patients 2-3 weeks before scheduled appointment and make confirmation calls, text reminders or email before all appointments. Once an appointment is made the time is reserved for each patient. To avoid a broken appointment penalty, we ask that Summit Dental is notified two business days in advance of any changes to appointments.
At Summit Dental, our goal is for you to have a pleasant experience in our office. We strive to serve you to the best of our ability in helping you attain a high level of dental and overall wellbeing.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call us at (403) 201-0588, or email us at summitdental@summitdental.ca.
